About The Cafe at Pat's Meat Market

Here at The Cafe at Pat's we strive for customer loyalty. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality food, wine and service; combining the freshest local ingredients with simple, time honored cooking methods. We take great pride in our ability to deliver outstanding food at a reasonable price in warm and intimate surroundings. Here at The Cafe we hope to educate our customers by featuring exciting and unusual dishes that challenge and delight the palate.

The focus of our menu lies in the heart of the northern Mediterranean, combining elements from the mountains of Spain, the south of France, and the northern half of Italy. While we do feature several staple items that remain year round, our menu changes on a seasonal basis so that we may continue to provide a fresh and stimulating dining experience.

We believe that locally raised ingredients yield the best tasting food, therefore we strive to support local suppliers and distributors whenever possible. Some of our purveyors include Coffee By Design, Maine-ly Poultry and Sunrise Acres Farm. At the core of our business is the desire to establish long term relationships with our customers, employees, and vendors. Our belief is that the only way to accomplish this is by presenting the best possible product, as consistently as possible, with an eye toward a comfortable dinning experience.

The Cafe Staff

Owner, Maurice Fontaine, has put a staff together where teamwork is the main ingredient. In the kitchen, Chef Andrew Pettingill's attention to detail coupled with his motivating attitude, is infectious. He takes pride in, not only every dish that comes across his chefs' window, but also in every nook and cranny of his clean kitchen. Also in the kitchen are Dave, Chris and Ian. Dave runs Sunday Brunch like he laid every egg himself, and Chris & Ian makes sure everyone remains in good spirits with their comic relief. In the cozy dinning room, you'll notice the atmosphere and teamwork quite intricately woven. As one unit, we try to be efficient yet not in the customers way. Bryan, Megan, Morey, Turner, and Lori all try to help one another serve our guests quickly, passionately and with a smile. During the very demanding moments of this difficult business, we try to remain focused on our unselfish nature and common desire to make sure everyone leaves the restaurant happy and satisfied. The customer comes first and with our entire staff's smooth teamwork, we aim to provide our customers with a plaesureable dinning experience.
